Supporting Participants to Achieve Licensing Goals

A-Class Driver Training works alongside Employment Service Providers to help participants gain the skills, confidence, and independence needed to obtain their driver's licence and access employment opportunities.

With a background in Employment Services, we understand the importance of timely communication, measurable outcomes, and making the best use of available participant funding.

Why Partner With A-Class Driver Training?

Improved Accessibility

We provide pickup and drop-off throughout Hobart's northern suburbs, an area often underserved by traditional driving schools.

This helps reduce transport barriers, improve attendance, and make lessons more accessible for participants who may otherwise struggle to engage.

Consistent Progress

We aim to provide regular lesson availability, with weekly lessons recommended wherever possible.

Consistent lessons help participants maintain momentum, build confidence, and work towards their licensing goals without lengthy gaps between training sessions.

Understanding of Employment Services

Having previously worked in Employment Services, we understand:

✅ Participant barriers

✅ Employment Fund processes

✅ Outcome-focused service delivery

✅ The importance of timely communication

✅ The need for clear progress reporting

This allows us to work collaboratively with consultants and providers while keeping administration simple.

Provider Portal Access

Our online provider portal gives authorised staff access to:

✅ Upload purchase orders

✅ Allocate additional funding

✅ View funded participants

✅ Monitor funding balances

✅ Track attendance

✅ Review learner progress

✅ Manage bookings in one location

This creates greater transparency and reduces administrative workload for providers.

Supporting Sustainable Outcomes

Obtaining a driver's licence is often one of the most significant barriers to employment.

Our focus extends beyond simply meeting licensing requirements. We work with participants to build the confidence, independence, and practical driving skills needed to support long-term employment outcomes.

More Driving Time. More Progress.

Our standard lesson length is 90 minutes.

Because we service Hobart's northern suburbs, this provides sufficient time to travel to appropriate training locations, practise key manoeuvres, and gain meaningful on-road experience without feeling rushed.

The additional 30 minutes per lesson may seem small, but over a learner's journey it can equate to many extra hours of supervised driving experience. This often allows participants to accumulate required driving hours and develop driving skills more quickly than if they were completing shorter lessons alone.

This approach helps participants maintain momentum and move towards licence attainment in a practical and efficient way.
